Hello

I'm Alison, a certified nutritionist registered with the Association for Nutrition. I hold both a Bachelor of Science degree and an accredited Master's degree in Clinical Nutrition with distinction from the University of Aberdeen. With over 20 years of experience as a personal trainer, sports coach, Pilates instructor, and science teacher,  I've always recognised the critical role of nutrition in achieving optimal results.

My personal journey through advanced age fertility, whilst also navigating perimenopause, has driven me to expand my knowledge of nutrition's profound impact on hormonal balance

Toady, I'm totally committed to empowering you through perimenopause or menopause,   by optimising your nutrition, and also offering holistic advice on strength. Whether you're seeking short-term guidance or long-term support, my approach is tailored to meet your unique needs.

Perimenopause & Menopause

The dramatic hormonal fluctuations experienced during perimenopause and menopause can deeply impact various body systems, often feeling like an emotional roller coaster.

These hormonal shifts, compounded by stress, can result in a range of symptoms such as brain fog, sleep difficulties, mood swings, weight gain, weakened muscles and bones, and increased anxiety.

Such changes may negatively affect your day-to-day performance at work, family life, friendships and relationships.

Proactively avert these impacts by balancing hormones and maintaining your strength.

How SheVive can help

Throughout our sessions we'll discuss your symptoms and explore your diet, lifestyle habits, and energy levels in a supportive and empathetic manner, free from judgment.

Together, we'll discover your motivations, whilst identifying achievable and sustainable adjustments. We'll establish realistic goals and progress at a pace that suits you.

In addition to nutrition, we offer holistic guidance to develop your strength and core stability.

Our ultimate goal is to enhance your nutrition and strength, restore calm and hormonal balance, as well as boosting your energy and vibrancy!

The Ginkgo Leaf

The Ginkgo Biloba tree, native to Southeast Asia, lives for thousands of years and has come to represent strength, longevity and vitality. It’s unique fan shaped leaves are seen as a symbol of balance and harmony.
Ginkgo leaves can be infused to make tea, usually combined with Centella asiatica (also known as Gotu kola). These herbs have been shown to protect the nervous system, sharpen cognitive focus and improve mood.

It is good practice to introduce herbs gradually and be aware of side effects. Do not consume if you are, or wish to become, pregnant or breastfeeding. Always check interactions with your medications and consult your GP as required.
